Pediatric Specialty Lab Services

Your little ones have unique needs when it comes to phlebotomy. At HNL Lab Medicine, their needs come first.

Because of this, we’ve developed a program to prepare phlebotomists for the unique, emotional and physical needs of our pediatric patients so we can better serve this population.

At HNL Lab Medicine, we consider the overall experience for our patients. We have developed a pediatric-centric experience, complete with specialized training for our team, pediatric-specific draw rooms, and educational material tailored to children to provide insight and reduce anxiety surrounding blood work.

Pediatric Locations

While all HNL Lab Medicine patient service centers accept both adult and pediatric patients, we’ve developed pediatric draw rooms at several of our patient service centers to provide an experience tailored to the needs of our younger patients.

Check out our pediatric locations by visiting our locations page and checking the pediatric filter.

These tests are typically performed through a simple blood draw from a vein or a finger prick, depending on the age of your child and the specific test needed. Pediatric blood tests are safe and relatively quick, and the information they provide is essential! Read more to learn about the most common blood tests for children.
