Gastrointestinal Pathology

Gastrointestinal Pathology deals with biopsies taken by gastroenterologists and resection specimens taken by surgeons. Endoscopic biopsies from the upper or lower GI tract are examined for inflammatory and neoplastic conditions by our pathologists.

The HNL Center for Anatomic Pathology's Gastrointestinal Pathology Division is committed to providing high quality diagnostic services for gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

HNL offers a complete range of gastrointestinal and liver pathology services including Classification of Gastritis, Malabsorption States, Inflammatory Bowl Disease, Gastrointestinal Neoplasia, Pancreatico-Biliary Diseases and Chronic Liver Diseases and Cancers. Specimens from the GI tract are examined to diagnose cancer or inflammatory disease, and the extent of disease.
