Coagulation testing includes sophisticated testing on those components of blood necessary for coagulation and fibrinolysis. Coagulation testing detects defects in clot formation, bleeding disorders and hypercoagulability either hereditary or acquired. Coagulation therapy includes monitoring of patients on anti-coagulant therapy and can also also provide a specific diagnosis in affected patients.
