HNL’s Clinical Chemistry Department provides comprehensive (more than 2.500 tests offered) laboratory testing including the use of automated chemistry work cells. Tests offered include those for renal function, water electrolytes, acid based balance and blood gases; metabolic intermediaries, inorganic ions and biochemical markers; carbohydrates; lipids; specific proteins; liver function; enzymology; endocrine function; toxicology and therapeutic drug monitoring. Various hormones produced in the body are also tested in this area.
