The HNL Cytopathology Division offers the highest level of accuracy and precision. Staffed by board certified pathologists and ASCP certified cytotechnologists, HNL provides a full complement of services including routine screening and diagnostic testing of gynecologic specimens, using the advanced Thin Prep® Pap Test™ technology for more accurate detection of abnormalities. High risk HPV testing (Digene hybrid capture II) is available upon request. Non-gynecologic specimens from all body sites are evaluated, including fine needle aspirations, brushings, and fluids. Immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry are performed on cytologic specimens as necessary to obtain diagnostic and prognostic information.
