Health Network Laboratories is owned by the hospitals of Lehigh Valley Health Network and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, the parent company of Good Shepherd. Phoebe Devitt Homes is also a limited partner.

Health Network Laboratories has formed a strategic alliance with Roche-Diagnostics to develop a Molecular Center of Excellence (MCOE) at HNL's main facility. The first of its kind in the northeastern United States, the MCOE serves as the local source for sophisticated molecular testing.

HNL has partnered with Mayo Medical Laboratories (MML) and the Mayo Clinic reference laboratory in Rochester, MN for esoteric reference testing. HNL has over 60 reference laboratory relationships with the premier testing sites across the United States.

HNL is also licensed by Hunter Laboratories of Campbell, California, to perform the proprietary Hunter Heart Panel for cardiac risk assessment.
